Whatsapp community Etiquette

In order to facilitate our playdates, subgroup meetups, and community events, we use the Tots & Teas WhatsApp community as our main communication channel, where all important information and announcements are posted regularly.

Please find below our online discussion etiquette:

  1. We are an inclusive community. Everyone’s help, ideas, suggestions and support are very welcome.
  2. We stimulate conversation and we are respectful of others’ views.
  3. You can only be added to the WhatsApp community by an admin member. Regarding the Playdate Whatsapp subgroup, you have to attend at least 1 playdate.
  4. Any aggressive or offensive messages are not accepted and the admins reserve the right to delete messages and address the behavior away from the group chat.
  5. We strive to create and maintain a safe community in which people of many different backgrounds and cultures are treated fairly, equally and with respect.
  6. We are mindful and respectful of our linguistic background – while the language for discussions is English, not everybody is a native English speaker / writer.
  7. All posts must focus on the group’s nature. We do not accept spam or advertising. If in doubt, please contact the admin team first before posting. The admin team will delete the posts that are deemed inappropriate.
  8. We do not tolerate discriminatory comments, whether it be politically, culturally, racially, or gender stereotyped.
  9. If you see that any of these rules/guidelines are being violated, please notify the admin team immediately. The admin group is there to help with any questions, concerns or ideas.
  10. Please refrain from posting alternative events on the dates of playdates.
  11. If you have any ideas or suggestions for a playdate location or would like to host a playdate, please reach out to an admin.
